CrabTopia Needs You!

You are the new arrival in town and boy oh boy does CrabTopia need some help! Their seasonal festival is about to happen and they don't have the ingredients to cook for everyone!

Short, Fun, Minigames!

Cooking for CrabTopia is a game comprised of several minigames where you are gathering resources to then cook (and play those little minigames!)  The game is intended to be bite sized and you will probably finish in 5-15 minutes.

Pulp Powered!

This was made entirely within Pulp and the music was ChatGPT influenced. The art was done in Pulp and if you're curious how something works, the json that you can utilize to see the code is posted down below!

But...why?

This is my submission to the Uncrank'd Game Jam and focuses mostly on the "float" theme more so than the "reflective" one.  Although there are some shiny things that are technically reflective, the game has a crab that floats on water, has floating leaves and has a crab floating with a balloon to pop bubbles! Sooo the real question is, why crabs? The answer is that crabs are [REDACTED] and so [REDACTED] that they just had to be [REDACTED]. Obviously everyone knows this and that's why the [REDACTED] works the way it does with crabs!

This is my 3rd game for the Playdate as an indie dev.  Feel free to drop a comment, if you find a bug let me know and I will work on it!

Really great job and fun to play! Thanks for including the json...I'm learning how to make playdate games too, and it's easier to understand when I can study how someone else did it!

Yea mate! I think it helps others to learn. I want to release free games so everyone gets the fun. I like making the json available too so that way other people can see what I've done if they want to learn and understand. If you ever have any questions, ping me on reddit, discord or here, I'll help however I can (in Pulp).

Cheers!

Great job, bro.

Please release a big adventure game. You are so creative!

Thank you! I appreciate the comment.

I've been considering doing that, I just might make that my next game (after I finish my idle/incremental I'm nearly done with!)
