Crank Casino, the upcoming story driven, roguelike casino on a spaceship game is on its way! A demo is now available for feedback, and to give everyone a taste of the full release!

Games Featured!

The game will feature, 3 casino-style games that allow the player to get the experience of gambling in a casino, with all virtual dollars! The demo has the first of these three games available, CoinFlip!  The next 2 planned games are High Low and an original game called Cruds.  Cruds will play similar to roulette except it will feature a 6-sided die!

But what good is winning all that dough if there's nothing to spend it on?! Well...

Winners Corner

Winner's Corner has all the finest things a casino-goer would want. Including, rabbit feet, magical coins, and gold bars! 

Spend your winnings to buy items that will permanently enhance your future games! These include higher starting money, refunding you some winnings on a loss, and even...increasing your chances to win!?!

Also, it looks like you can buy robots?! But...why???

Story Driven Content

But that's not all, engage with a varied cast of characters who call this spaceship casino their home! In the full game, there will feature 6 characters, each with their own story to tell.  The demo comes with Arthur's complete story, and half of Elizabeth's story available.

Conversations are locked behind playing games until someone is ready to tell you more about their life.  Choose wisely, you can only talk to one person between runs (if a conversation is available) BUT you get the choice of who you talk to and in what order.  Want to get to know one specific person to see their story to the end? You can! Want to get to know everyone slowly as you play? You can! 

Note: If you don't want to engage in the story and just want to play the casino games and buy upgrades, You can! There is nothing locked behind the story other than the story itself. Feel free to skip it or participate in it as you see fit with no fear of missing out! (I hate when games do that so I refuse to lock anything important behind it!)

Gamefeel

This is meant to be a short pick up and play type of game that allows you to either engage with the story, or just enjoy playing some casino games! 

CoinFlip features a robust system to help you remember prior flips. Everyone knows after seven heads, the next one will be heads again right?! Wrong! Don't lose all your winnings like me. The right side of the screen shows the previous flips represented with an H or T for heads or tails.   Knowing what happened before is a surefire way to make an educated guess and win on the next flip...or so you think.

Controls

The game features instructions at Tutorial Corner, but simply put, each run, the casino loans you your starting money. Then, any winnings you earn with it are yours to keep! Make sure to completely finish a run (10 turns) or else they won't loan you as much next time!! But, if you fully finish a run, they'll increase what they loan you in the future.

In CoinFlip, use the D-pad to change your bet amount, A to max bet, or A to set bet to 0 (if the bet is currently at max bet). Use B to lock in your bet. Then select heads vs. Tails and press A to confirm. Then either Crank or press A to flip the coin! 

Note: The crank is 100% optional and there is nothing that requires it. Accessibility is here already! Pretend you're playing it on an old Gameboy or just enjoy being able to play it single-handedly!

Notes

This is my most ambitious game yet and I am so excited to share it with you all! This game was based on me thinking "ugh why won't my raid queue pop? Wouldn't it be cool if I could flip a coin and have an easy gambling game to pass my time in queue?" And a month later...here we are!
